IF joins Frank Gehry and Bruce Mau for the Museum of Biodiversity in Panama

In 2010, the Panama: Bridge of Life, Museum of Biodiversity will open its doors to the world.  The museum, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, is dedicated to telling "the story of life," and Panama is the perfect place to celebrate the cross section of nature and history.  Within the museum, the exhibit halls, designed by Bruce Mau Design, each represent a different stage in the world's history, how it relates to Panama, and its impact on the world today.


So where does Imaginary Forces fit in?

IF is designing the final exhibit space, the "Panama is the Museum" gallery.  The vision is to create an immersive and interactive media experience that will form connections between the stories found in the museum and their real-life destinations in Panama.


Using smart technologies such as RFID and motion sensors, the gallery will curate personalized experiences for each of its visitors through an updatable, self-generating digital archive.  This living anthology of stories will offer a multi-sensory experience across various media surfaces at many scales.


While the museum won't be completed until 2010, the preparation and design for the project is just as exciting and it warrants highlighting here at IF.com, even this early in the planning stages.
