It's an honor to be recognized in the I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review. This year, four IF projects were singled out in the graphic design category. The Number 23 received a Design Distinction and honorably mentioned were IF's Mad Men titles, the Koppel on Discovery: Breaking Point titles, and the short film for Paul Rand's induction into the One Club Hall of fame.
Juror Chris Dixon said The Number 23 was "definitely the best we've seen" and compares the sequence to another of IF's groundbreaking main titles, Se7en.
Regarding Mad Men, I.D. claims "What can be said about IF's retro-futuro opening for the hot AMC series featuring ruthless Madison Avenue ad men? Flawless? Sublime?"
For Koppel on Discovery: Breaking Point, I.D. succinctly sums up the sequence saying "the theme of overcrowded prisons is portrayed by a blizzard of names and faces of inmates that rapidly melt into one another."
While watching The Paul Rand film, I.D. jurors "sat in happy, reverent silence" while the film "encapsulated Rand's unique and timeless contribution to the design community."
