Imaginary Forces

Sony unveiled Starhawk, their latest sci-fi western combat video game, at E3 - the world's largest video game conference.

For the trailer, director Grant Lau and VFX Supervisor Alex Frisch created a futuristic world filled with spaceships, ATV's, robotic fighters, and massive explosions entirely in CG.

We collaborated with 3rd Floor, who did the pre-visualization and motion capture, and Spatial Harmonics Group, who did some of the visual effects for us: fume, exhaust, thruster, and dirt/dust.


Elements based on the game assets were given a cinematic feel as the viewer is introduced to the lead character and his story.
