Macros is Imaginary Forces' online series debuting on lstudio.com. Macros consists of three episodes, three to four minutes in length, each dealing with issues that affect the world around us.

For "Vortex" we consulted Captain Charles Moore, founder of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation. On his return voyage from a Hawaiian yacht race in 1997, Captain Moore veered from his usual path and discovered an ocean full of plastic. He has since dedicated his life to studying the effects of plastic disposal in the ocean and what we can do to curb this "garbage vortex" from getting worse. The science and history of the vortex are detailed in this episode of Marcos, using an interview from Captain Moore himself and graphically illustrating this dangerous phenomenon.
